October 28, November 4, 11, 18, & 25: How to Knit a Sweater
A really special new offering with limited space! Confident knitters can choose a knit sweater pattern of their choice (approved by instructors) and we will work through it together in five weeks (we will also provide suggestions). Students will provide their own materials. This is an in-person class at The Toolbox Collective in Minneapolis!

November 1: Fall Fiber Festival
Shop all things fiber at this local festival! We are looking forward to vending and bringing a selection of fiber tools and notions.

November 3: Colorwork Workshop
A quick skills class! Come and learn how to knit with two colors by making a "speed swatch." Must be comfortable knitting and purling. Students will provide their own materials. This is an in-person class hosted by Minneapolis Community Education.

Join Kate and Laila to learn the basic stitches you need to start knitting! You’ll learn how to knit, purl, and cast on. Students will provide their own materials. This is an in-person class at Avon Hills Folk School in Avon, MN!

January 3: Colorwork Workshop
Join Kate and Laila to learn how to use two colors of yarn to follow a chart and create a “speed swatch.” In this class, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to begin your own stranded colorwork project—and your finished swatch can even double as a cozy mug rug! Charts will be provided and students will bring their own yarn and needles to work with. This is an in-person class at Marine Mills Folk School!

August 6 - 13: Singla Strand Norwegian Knitting Retreat
Singla Strand (beach in Norwegian) is a creative retreat for fiber enthusiasts, looking for a rare opportunity to visit a unique destination where wool is a way of life. Days will be filled with time for personal projects, group meals, walks on the beach and inland, bonfires, and dips in the sea and sauna. There will also be guided creative sessions in natural dying, felting, and more with all materials provided either outside or in the barn studio.
This retreat is hosted by Starlight and Storm at their 'Singla' property on Arnøya in Northern Norway. There is very limited space (6 attendees), but we are hoping to host this again possibly in 2027!

Corporate Craft Class Session - Looking for an entry-level craft for team building? We can guide up to 25 students and provide materials for you. Reach out for a proposal for your team.

Interested in private knitting lessons in Minneapolis? We offer 1-2 hour sessions at a variety of levels, from beginners to specific skills. $50 per hour. Reach out to schedule using our contact form or book on our calendar below.
