March 3, 10, 17: Knit a Hat Class

Learn how to knit in the round with a simple hat pattern while decreasing stitches and weaving in ends! Little knitting experience is needed but you should be able to knit & purl. This is an in-person class hosted by Minneapolis Community Education.

March 22: Picking Workshop

A quick one hour "bootcamp" on how to knit using your left hand to hold your working yarn. This is referred to as continental, picking, Norwegian style, and more! This is a great skill if you want to start knitting in combination when doing colorwork, or if you want to learn how to knit and purl faster. This is an in-person class at The Toolbox Collective in Minneapolis. You will be providing your own materials. Saturday, 1 - 2 pm, $25

April 7, 14 & 21: Knitting Colorwork Socks

Join Kate and Laila to knit the Quilty Cabin Socks! This is an advanced class, colorwork experience preferred. We will be in-person at The Toolbox Collective in Minneapolis. You will be providing your own materials.

April 12: Crafternoon!

Join Knit & Gather and Harvested Hues. Bring your own craft to work on and get in the spring crafting mood, all are welcome! We will be debuting our new free craft library at the Toolbox so donations of like-new craft supplies are welcome. Suggested donation, $5 so we can keep having these crafting events! Saturday, 1 - 4 pm.

April 26: Knitting Day at Avon Hills

Kate and Laila will be hosting beginning knitting in the morning, and a colorwork workshop in the afternoon! Join for one or both classes. You’ll learn how to knit, purl, cast on, and begin a project of your choice. This is an in-person class at Avon Hills Folk School, 31335 Kalla Lake Rd Avon, MN 56310. You will be providing your own materials.

May 3: Knitting Demo at Gammelgården

Kate and Laila will be knitting at the Gammelgården Museum's Season Opening Day! Explore all this Swedish museum has to offer: exhibits, vendors, craft demos, and more. Come and knit with us - we'll be knitting all day long and be ready to talk about colorwork and other Scandinavian knitting traditions!

Private Knitting / Corporate Events

Interested in private knitting lessons? We offer 1-2 hour sessions at a variety of levels, from beginners to specific skills. $50 per hour. Ages 10 & up. Reach out to schedule using our contact form or our direct email.

Corporate Class Session - Looking for an entry-level craft for team building? We can guide up to 25 students and provide materials for you. Reach out for a proposal for your team.

1 Hour - $150 plus materials

2 Hour - $225 plus materials
