October 7, 14, 21: Beginning Knitting

Join Kate and Laila to learn the basic stitches you need to start knitting! You’ll learn how to knit, purl, cast on, and begin a project of your choice. This is an in-person class hosted by Minneapolis Community Education at Roosevelt High School. Mondays, 6 - 8 pm.

October 26: Colorwork Workshop

Join Kate and Laila and learn how to use two colors of yarn. You will make a "speed swatch" and gain the skills to start a stranded colorwork project of your own. The swatch can also be saved and used as a mug rug! This is an in-person class at Ingebretsen's Nordic Marketplace. You will be providing your own materials. Saturday, 12 - 2 pm. $40

November 4 & 11: Intro to Needle Felting

Learn how to create 3D figures with needle felting! No previous skills required, come and get creative with us. This is an in-person class with Minneapolis Community Education at Roosevelt High School. Materials provided.

Mondays, 6 - 8 pm.

November 16: Colorwork Mitten Workshop

In this class, students will learn how to use two colors of yarn to make a traditional Norwegian-style mitten in an original Knit & Gather pattern. This tradition pulls from our personal heritage and students will take away tips and tricks we have learned about stranded knitting over the years.

Saturday, 9 am - 3 pm.
