Craft Night - 3rd Thursdays
Join us at The Toolbox Collective (3400 42nd Ave S, Minneapolis) for Open Studios and Craft Night every third Thursday, free, donations welcome. Bring your own craft, and come to see what the studio artists are up to. We hope to see you!

August 6 - 13: Singla Strand Norwegian Knitting Retreat
Singla Strand (beach in Norwegian) is a creative retreat for fiber enthusiasts, looking for a rare opportunity to visit a unique destination where wool is a way of life. Days will be filled with time for personal projects, group meals, walks on the beach and inland, bonfires, and dips in the sea and sauna. There will also be guided creative sessions in natural dying, felting, and more with all materials provided either outside or in the barn studio.
This retreat is hosted by Starlight and Storm at their 'Singla' property on Arnøya in Northern Norway. We are hoping to host this again possibly in 2027!
August 23: Drop-In Studio Knitting Appointments
Stuck in the middle of a pattern, want to refresh or brush up on a specific knitting skill? Choose a 30 minute time slot to get quick help (or choose two slots for 1 hour) on Sunday August 23rd at our home studio in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis. This is a one-on-one session.

September 1: Knitting Mistakes
You've asked for it and now we're doing it! Come and learn how to fix common knitting mistakes. We'll go over dropped stitches, pulling back your work, creating jogless stripes and more! Plus we'll talk about finishing your work and blocking. This is an in-person class at the Toolbox Collective. Bring yarn and needles to work with.

September 6: Sweater Weather Get Together
Come to Hastings Minnesota and celebrate the kick off to sweater season with MUSE 2320! We will be vending in the Fiber, Yarn & Arts marketplace and there will also be a spinning circle and a Brew & Make with Ewe at Spiral Brewing that evening. Come join the fun!

September 12: Colorwork Workshop
Join Kate and Laila and learn how to use two colors of yarn to follow a chart. You will make a "speed swatch" and gain the skills to start a stranded colorwork project of your own. The swatch can also be saved and used as a mug rug! This is an in-person class at Ingebretsen's Nordic Marketplace. You will be providing your own materials.

September 19 & 20: Longfellow Art Crawl
Want to come visit our fiber studio? We will have open studio as a part of the LOLA Art Crawl this weekend! We will have our knitting tools and accessories available for sale, as well as some finished fiber goodies and a special guest, Wild Goose Fiber, selling hand dyed yarn!

October 12, 19 & 26: Beginning Knitting
Join Kate and Laila to learn the basic stitches you need to start knitting! You’ll learn how to knit, purl, cast on, and begin a project of your choice. This is an in-person class hosted by Minneapolis Community Education at Roosevelt High School.

Join Kate and Laila to dive into how to read a knitting pattern and learn more about project gauge and how to meet it. This would be a great course to get ready for our Sweater Class! This is an in-person class at the Toolbox Collective. Plan on providing your own materials.

October 7, 14 & 21: Karine Hat In-Person KAL
Join a group of knitters as we all make the Karine Hat pattern! This is not a formal class but we will all be able to help each other get through the pattern and Kate and Laila will provide guidance as needed. This is a colorwork knitting pattern, we recommend you have experience in colorwork but use your best judgement. This is an in-person gathering at the Toolbox Collective. Plan on providing your own materials.

November 9, 16, 23, 30 & December 7: How to Knit a Sweater
Sweater Class 3.0! This is our third session of our popular sweater class with limited space! Confident knitters can choose a knit sweater pattern from our list and we will work through it together in five sessions (see suggested patterns). We will go over measuring the body, choosing a size, and all of the basic skills for making a sweater (raglan increases, German short rows, picking up sleeves, and more!) This is an in-person class at the Toolbox Collective. Plan on providing your own materials.

November 7: Fall Fiber Festival
We will be vending at this fun one day festival at the Eisenhower Event Center in Hopkins, MN! Come and say hi and of course shop all things yarn and wool.
