Scandi Christmas Stocking - Digital Knitting Pattern

A colorwork Christmas Stocking designed in chunky yarn to be sturdy and quick.

YARN:

3 Colors of Álafosslopi or similar chunky weight yarn 

Samples knit in:
Red 47, Dark Green 9966, and White 51 

Color A, 50 yds 
Color B, 40 yds 
Color C, 30 yds 

NEEDLES / NOTIONS:

Size US 6, 16" circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge 

DPNS or long cord for magic loop in the same size as main needle 

Tapestry needle Needle (double pointed) or tool to make an i-cord

GAUGE:

17 sts & 20 rows in 4" Stranded colorwork, blocked

SIZE:

One size 15” cuff to tip 5.5” across top 6” across body 5.5” bottom of heel to toe tip

SPECIAL TECHNIQUES:

Stranded colorwork knitting, German short rows, duplicate stitch
