Gather

Our mission to connect with our community through craft! We host classes and craft events in the greater Minnesota area.

Make

We make the knitting tools and accessories that we want to see and try and source as sustainably as possible with little waste.

Share

We write and share high quality knitting patterns to inspire your own creations! All inspired by our love of knitting.

About

We are Kate and Laila, knitters with a love of whimsy. That's why we started Knit and Gather to teach others the craft we love. We have both been knitting for over twenty years and love to experiment with different mediums. Coming from Norwegian cultural backgrounds, it is folk art and craft that connects us with our heritage! Kate is a professional knitting pattern designer and teacher and in the last year Kate and Laila have partnered to teach fiber arts together.

Our goal is to share knowledge, connect with others, and offer high quality patterns, tools, and more. Follow along and connect with us!

We currently teach knitting in the Twin cities. You can find our classes here!
