The Japanese Dictionary of Color Combinations is a collection of 348 color combinations originated by Sanzo Wada, a foundational presence in contemporary color research and design. Wada was a visual artist, known for his Western style paintings, as well as a costume designer. He helped establish the Japan Standard Color Association.
Haishoku Soukan was originally a six volume collection. It has been captured in this small handy paperback handbook that will continue to inspire your color choices for years to come! Both works include the Japanese and English color names, and removable color chips for creating.
Volume 2 is a reissue of the 'B edition' of the original collection. It contains 72 color combination patterns based on the four seasons in Japan. This volume contains imagery from textiles, art, and interior design alongside the combinations.
