A great quick knit for gifting. A simple stockinette beanie with a fold over brim, perfect for your favorite patch!
Construction:
This double brim hat is knit from the live cast on edge, then folded upwards, joined, and knit until the top.
YARN:
Worsted weight yarn 200 yards
NEEDLES / NOTIONS:
Size US 8, 16” circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge
A second US 8 needle (16” circular or a DPN) for joining cast on edge - a smaller size will also work
Tapestry needle
GAUGE:
15 sts & 26 rows = 4” stockinette
SIZE:
One size Final measurements (when folded): 8” tall, 2.5” brim, 20” circumference
Recommended patch size, 2” tall or less
